TASK 7: Reflection of editing text

Initially, we were asked to create our own 250 word article. With this I created an article over the 250 word limit (by around 70-80 words) in which then I edited back down to roughly 250, give or take 2 words. I found this pretty difficult as I was happy with the article I had written, but found that there were some words which I could abbreviate or change to lesser the word count. We then had to do some research and add additional information to the text, which I found made my article sound more professional,as though I knew what I was talking about and as I talked about how Elizabeth Taylor had inspired a popular celebrity (Kim Kardashian) and used a quote in which she had said about Elizabeth Taylor. We then again, had to edit down the text + the research we had added down to 250 - which I managed to go below with 220 words within my article. This process was interesting as it made my article change completely but for the better and I ended up with a piece of work which I was entirely satisfied with.
